DATA ENGINEER
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining a scalable and secure data platform centered around Snowflake. You will work with data coming from multiple systems and technologies, developing reliable ingestion and transformation pipelines while ensuring data quality, performance, and availability across DEV, UAT, and PROD environments.
The role combines hands-on data engineering with platform ownership. You will be involved in architecture decisions, complex data migrations and integrations, security and access management, as well as performance and cost optimization. You will work with technologies such as Snowflake, Python/Snowpark, Azure Storage, REST APIs, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server to deliver robust data solutions that support reporting and business needs.

- Defining an optimal architecture
- Implementing and maintaining tables in Snowflake according tothedefined schema.
- Building ingestion pipelines from multiplesources: GLfiles (Micros/Simphony) via AzureSFTP orAzure Blob Storage with Snowpipe, POSdata via RESTAPI, Microsoft SQLServer via direct connection, ERP Microsoft Dynamics.
- Migrating historical data from Oracle – a 280GBdatabase with tablesover 100M rows.
- Developing and maintaining SnowflakeTasks and Streams for incremental processing.
- Writing SQL logicfordata transformationfor final reports.
- Automating the reconciliation of fiscal Z reports (POSvs ERP vs fiscal printer).
- Setting up and managing DEV, UAT, and PRODenvironments in Snowflake.
- Managing users, roles, and permissions across all environments.
- Monitoring and optimizing warehousesizing and computecosts.
- Implementing and maintaining security policies and data accesscontrols.
- Maintaining platform documentation: environments, roles, access matrix.
